Jailoos are the traditional summer pastures where Kyrgyz shepherds take their flocks to graze in the lush mountain meadows. For an authentic and immersive experience, journey through the remote valleys of Bokonbaevo village and Orto-Syrt in the Issyk-Kul region via Tong Pass (4023m. ASL). Discover the rich culture, warm hospitality, and breathtaking landscapes as you move from jailoo to jailoo, staying with shepherd families in peaceful meadows far from the hustle and bustle of city life. Enjoy homemade jams, fresh cream, warm bread, and the finest kymyz (fermented mare’s milk) for an unforgettable experience.

Here is the tour plan in brief...

Day 1:
Transfer from Bokonbaevo to Tong mountains, meet guides in Tuura Suu and trek/ride to Kok Bulak Jailoo. Overnight in a shepherd’s yurt.

Day 2:
Trek along Kok-Bulak river to Tong Pass (4,016 m), descend to Orto Syrt valley and relax in hot springs. Overnight in tent.

Day 3:
Hike through Jyluu Suu gorge to Keruu Jailoo. Meet shepherd family and stay in a yurt camp.

Day 4:
Continue along Balgard river to Kuzgun Uya. Overnight in tent surrounded by mountains.

Day 5:
Enter Naryn region, stop at a shepherd’s yurt for lunch, then trek to Jakbolot Pass base camp.

Day 6:
Cross Jakbolot Pass (3,841 m) and reach Keng-Say Jailoo. Overnight in yurt or tent.

Day 7:
Descend to Eki-Naryn valley and arrive at Chyrpykty Jailoo. Overnight in a shepherd’s yurt.

Day 8:
Experience nomadic life (milking, kymyz making), then drive to Naryn. End of trek.
